“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. ".

I thought I might compare this journey to an archeological dig, whose purpose it is to discover and uncover buried treasures of the past. Of course, we’ll not be searching for buried treasures of the past, rather we’ll be searching for spiritual treasures that have been buried deep within us since our Baptism and Confirmation.
These spiritual treasures are continually being poured out by the Holy Spirit and strengthened in each of us through the sacraments and prayer but many of us may be unaware of just how many and how awesome these treasures.
In each of these six (6) sessions we’ll be following a map that will lead us to these treasures. The map includes passages from Holy Scripture, the Catechism, Church Documents, and papal sermons and writings.
This map will lay the foundation – so that when we arrive at the dig site --- we have all the background information we need to make an exciting discovery. When we arrive at the dig site we will Retrieve, Define, and Record Our Findings.
