Author’s Notes:
Charisms of the Holy Spirit is an important resource for parishes desiring to empower their people to become true disciples on mission to bring Christ to the world and the world to Christ. This resource helps parishioners identify, learn about, and use their charisms (spiritual gifts). It enables the reader to enter into the process of not only discerning his or her charisms but also learning about their own spiritual gifts and those of others. Included is a Charism (Spiritual Gifts) Inventory of 100 questions, an answer form, and answer key. This book also presents a description of twenty charisms and provides detailed information about each charism by describing: What is it? When does Jesus express it? Why is it important? How would someone express it? What could a parish/community do to call it forth and/or support it? Supporting Scripture Passages; Caution You Are About To Enter The No Sin Zone; Evangelization Tips; Team Notes; Author's Notes; and Personal Witnesses; and Discussion Questions. This book offers parishes and religious communities the tools necessary to support the discipleship formation and the myriad of evangelization challenges facing the Church today. We learn from the Catechism that it is through grace and our charisms that our ministries come alive and enable us, through the power of the Holy Spirit to bring Christ to the world and the world to Christ.
